Day 2 of 7: Treasure Map Passions

PASSION

I’m fascinated by the things I cannot see, but that I absolutely, undeniably know exist without a shadow of a doubt.

Love. It takes over my heart like a warm blanket. There’s nothing better.

The feeling I get inside when I hear a beautiful song. I can’t explain it, but I am moved. Undeniably awakening.

Maybe that’s why I love the internet so much.

Yes, I may only be writing, or making videos, or posting on Instagram, but there’s so much more going on than what meets the eye

That level of communication with the world is beautiful. It’s fascinating to me.

I sat at dinner with two good friends tonight, and we each went around the table trying to identify what that “thing” for each of us is that we’re particularly good at. That “thing” that we can apply, no matter the industry or situation. The “thing” that makes us .. us.

She said that my “thing” is putting myself out there.

It comes so naturally and easily to me.

It doesn’t matter what it is that I am doing, or expressing.

My magic sauce is the ease at which I put myself out there.

Maybe she’s right.

I love communicating with people from all over the world.

I love reaching out.

I love seeing what I can find.

I love having an impact, no matter how small.

And using the power of the internet and social media seems like the easiest way for me to reach out.

It’s a funny thing to say you’re passionate about putting yourself out there, but I am. I love it.

There’s so much creativity involved in putting yourself out there. It has become somewhat of an art form for me. My online presence has become an artistic expression of myself.

If, by putting myself out there, I can help encourage one person to live life on their terms, I’m happy.

And so that’s what I do. Day in, day out.

I guess if there is *one* thing that I’ve always followed – it’s my passion.

Because life is so boring otherwise.

If I’m not passionate about it … what’s the point?

I follow my passions like they are my treasure map. And I hope to inspire people along the way to do the same.
