  1. I really loved the tip about breaking big goals down into smaller ones. Why haven’t I been doing this?? And I loved the tip about just getting things done and not thinking about if or how it’s going to work! Keep these videos going Alex! I am so excited!

    1. Hey Shenaye!

So glad that you enjoyed these tips! These are major “a-ha” moments I’ve had over the years haha!

Big hugs to you and thanks for your comment!

  2. Fantastic tips Alex! I love that you suggest imagining that we’re THE BEST in the world at the task we have to do. The brain will pick up on the thought and we ARE going to get better! I’m going to apply this to my writing and to shooting my new videos ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hey girl ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m SO GLAD that you loved this video, and the suggestion about imagining that we’re the BEST in the world! When I do this, it definitely makes me approach the situation in a different mindset ๐Ÿ™‚ it’s awesome!

Big hugs to you and THANK YOU for the comment!

  3. I am definitely going to be looking over my project list every morning to track my productivity. I have taken on so many creative projects with other artists that I need to really be monitoring them and not letting these things that excited me so much at the start lose momentum. Thanks for the great video post! (My boyfriend was washing dishes while I was watching this video and chimed in “I really like this Alex character, she seems to get it!”)

    1. @nicolemcinnis:disqus! I’m so excited that you’ll be reviewing your project list every morning + evening. This helps me stay on track sooooo much better. It’s amazing what a simple reminder and refresher can do for the mind! And tell your boyfriend THANK YOU – that’s so awesome of him ๐Ÿ™‚ Big hugs to you and thank you for the comment! xoxo

  4. Feeling pumped this morning after watching this! Agree with and love the Boss and Worker “mode” idea… have used this in a way before and it definitely helps me follow through!

    1. Hey @eleanorwoodruff:disqus!

So glad that you’re feeling pumped after watching this ๐Ÿ™‚ AWESOME!

Big hugs to you and thank you for the comment!

      1. Itยดs funny because when i received the email of this new video, i was actualy was doing a list. This morning i woke up and realized that my organization was a mess. So I sat at my desk and thought “I have to do something about this mess…” and BUM there you were! ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Loved the video! Especially tip 4 – I’m always catching myself “productive procrastinating” by doing all the fun easy items on my to do list first, and saving the worst ones for last. Also totally agree with you about tv, that’s why I love Netflix! And to keep myself on track with implementing these tips, I set it as my desktop wallpaper. Thanks, Alex!

  6. I think this is one my favorites so far! I already do the things I least want to do, first. I save the best for last ๐Ÿ™‚ I also don’t watch live t.v. I HATE it with a passion. Occasionally I will watch an episode of something on netflix, but that is it. Commercials are beyond ridiculous these days anyways. I definitely need to get more of a schedule going. I tend to get sidetracked with other things I need to do… If I just made a schedule the night before, all would be well ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Alex! -Indi

  7. He Calls Me Grace

I am horrible at listening to myself as a boss. Still getting the hang of scheduling myself to be in work mode along side with my day job. Some days I just want to not work and it’s hard to keep pushing myself to do it.

  8. This is great Alex! Thank you for all the tips- I LOVE IT! My favorite ones that I’ve learned are to be fully present, set and review goals, and break all my big projects into small tasks! Not to mention that you’ve been a huge source of inspiration and practical advice- you’re awesome!

  9. I loved the tip of breaking down the large projects into small to do’s so it is easier to get them done and not so general or overwhelming! I also love the reviewing the goals because for me, that is inspiration for me to work harder in itself! ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Hi Alex, thanks, I liked the tip about respecting yourself as your own boss. I find myself getting distracted with less impt tasks from time to time and I think that trying to impress yourself like a boss is a great tip + reminder.

It would be nice to see how you manage your goals + productivity. For example, you’ve mentioned that you check in on goals, projects and tasks daily but how are you tracking these? A notebook for tasks? A program or spreadsheet for major projects + goals?

    Please share! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. So sorry… please disregard my above comment…. I just checked out the bonus material and see that you’ve included resources!! THANK YOU!
